Paddling for College Fund 2010 Ice Out Through June 30, 2010. Aqua Guides and Outfitters will donate 50% of our rental fees and kayak instruction fees to one college student chosen at random from a list of names provided by people that rent kayaks or take kayak instruction from Aqua Guides this spring.
Here is how it works:
- Two people book kayaks to rent at standard rates. Old Town kayaks $30.00 per person and Prion sea kayaks $55.00 per person.
- One of the two renters will deposit their rental fee into an account at a US Bank, Aqua G. Paddling for College Fund.
- The two renters bring the US Bank deposit receipt at the time of reservation.
- The two renters provide the name of one college student, freshman through 2010 grad, and fill out the registration form for the student.
- The registration form is turned into the Aqua Guides worker along with the 50% balance of the rental fee.
- All of the funds from the US Bank Paddling for College Fund will be given to one student whose name is on a registration form. A random method will be used for selecting the college student. A cashier check from US Bank will be given July 1, 2010.
- Our goal is to have 1000 entrant names.
